So, instead of making around £15 profit per consumer per year, the energy companies have admitted they are now hoping to make £125.  With the Prime Minister’s ministrations failing miserably at the recent “Energy Summit”, we, the householders and consumers of energy are left to take our mouse machetes and battle through the extraordinary maze of tariffs that await online.

There are some brilliant energy comparison websites though and they will be our saving grace.  Why we should switch our energy companies is almost a question that doesn’t need an answer.  It’s all too apparent that you will save a lot of money.  The average saving is estimated at around 14-15% which, translated into £ equals around £389 a year.
Also, apparently you can reject your company’s price rise by informing them you are going to change suppliers.  You will then not have to pay the higher rates, during the time you are negotiating the online switch. [Read more...]
